Our Team

Larry Wilson opened the doors of Larry's Small Engines in 1978 as a small service and repair shop which has grown into Dufferin County's premier recreational vehicle dealership. Working in the industry since 1968, Larry is a licenced Small Engine, Marina and Motorcycle Mechanic and a BRP Certified Ski-Doo and Can-Am Master Technician. An avid racer in his younger days, there are not many motorized vehicles which Larry has not raced and won a championship with; from go-karts to snowmobiles to TQ Midgets, Larry has hoisted the trophies for many a title. Larry is a member of the Dufferin Northern Peel Anglers' and Hunters' Club and, in his spare time, he enjoys zooming around road courses in his vintage Atlantic Formula race car and oval racing vintage snowmobiles.

In 2018, Larry celebrates 50 years working in the industry and Larry's Small Engines celebrates its 40th year serving the community.

Bill Kenney started at Larry's in 1993 pushing a broom and learning the ropes before working his way through the business to become our head mechanic. A licenced motorcycle mechanic for eleven years, Bill is also a BRP Certified Ski-Doo and Can-Am Master Technician. Like Larry, Bill has a passion for speed and was competitive on the snowmobile grass drags and snowcross race circuits. A devoted outdoorsman, Bill spends his free time hunting, fishing and camping with his family along with snowmobiling or riding motorcycles, depending on the season.

In 2018, Bill celebrates his 25th Work Anniversary with Larry's Small Engines. His dedication to the company and to our customers is unparalleled in the industry.

A familiar face on our front counter, Blake Fifield began working at Larry's in 2003 and now has his hands in all facets of the business from parts and service to sales. Despite his background in the automotive service industry, Blake has always had an interest in recreation vehicles and grew up dirt biking, boating and ATVing at his family cottage outside Parry Sound, ON. Outside of work, Blake can be found riding motorcycles or snowmobiles, or pursuing his true passion: Hockey.

In 2018, Blake celebrates his 15th Work Anniversary with Larry's Small Engines.

Tom Bowman started working at Larry's in 2007 as one of our front counter staff after completing his Mechanical Techniques- Small Engines Certificate from Georgian College. Now an Apprentice Motorcycle Mechanic with us, Tom enjoys riding his ATV on cross country and motocross courses and working on classic cars.

In 2017, Tom celebrates his 10th Work Anniversary with Larry's Small Engines.

Our Service Manager, Jamie Newell has worked in various facets of the small engine industry for the past ten years. An avid ATV and snowmobile rider since his youth, Jamie brings with him a passion for recreation riding and knowledge amassed over his years of work and play. When he's not out on the trails, Jamie likes to hit the ice and play some hockey.

A familiar face on the front counter, Travis Cuthbert joined the Larry's team in 2015 as a Parts Associate. When he's not finding our customers the perfect accessories for their machines, Travis can be found dirt biking or snowmobiling, or generally going fast in one direction or another.

Joining our mechanic wing in 2017, Kyle O'Donnell began turning wrenches when he was 15 years old. Prior to working at Larry's, Kyle was a mechanic for compact construction equipment before making the decision to return to his love of small engine repair. As a true lover for motorized recreation, Kyle enjoys snowmobiling and motorcycling depending on the season.

Joining the Larry's team as a Parts Associate in 2017, Chris Lind brings with him a love of outdoor recreation and knowledge of the industry. Nicknamed "Mudman" by his friends, Chris loves to jump on a dirt bike and go trailblazing, and usually finds a pile of mud to ride through.
