Service Writer

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME, SOME WEEKENDS REQUIRED

LARRY’S IS SEEKING TO FILL THE POSITION OF FULL TIME SERVICE WRITER.

AS A SERVICE WRITER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING/TOTALLING WORK ORDERS, LOOKING UP/ORDERING PARTS, ADVISING CUSTOMERS ON THE WORK NEEDED TO THEIR MACHINE.

RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Courteous and pleasant disposition, able to interact with customers.
• Customer service driven and proficient in basic computer skills.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Passionate about powersports/lawn and garden equipment, especially the brands we carry.
• General knowledge of small engines/lawn & garden equipment/powersports to ensure correct parts are looked up for work orders.
• Must be organized and able to make detailed notes on work orders using appropriate terminology.
• Look up parts for open work orders.
• Able to close/total work orders with labour and parts.
• Must be a team player.
• Working with the Parts Department, ensure all parts are available and in stock for work orders to ensure consistent workflow for mechanics.

*PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A SERVICE WRITER IN THE AUTOMOTIVE OR POWERSPORTS INDUSTRY CONSIDERED AN ASSET.*
